Building sites, in every direction
Windsor has been under construction for years and it has not stopped. Unfinished lots put tracked mud in the footwells and a fine concrete dust on everything parked near them, and that dust is abrasive — wiping it off dry is how a bonnet picks up swirls.

The 392 and the interstate
Highway 392 runs the length of town and out to I‑25, which is the commute for most of Windsor. That means winter road film and the mag chloride that comes with it, and a summer of bug strike on the front end from the open stretch either side of the interchange.

There is very little between Windsor and the plains, and the lake in the middle of town gives the wind a clear run at whatever is parked around it. Grit gets driven into the paint, and lakeside and park sprinklers throw hard water that dries to a mineral spot a rinse will not lift.
